These two were a joy to be with. Not every couple is ready to fully embrace a rainy afternoon for their engagement session, but Hayley and John were excited and we all joked we’ll pretend we’re in Seattle.  The photographer in me was on cloud nine. There’s something about the rain that soothes the soul by bringing calmness and connecting our five basic physiological senses with the environment. With the rain on our skin and the wind in our hair, the three of us shared plenty of laughs but also some quiet moments as we walked around Lake Wingra and the Madison State Capitol.

I’m looking forward to joining these two for their wedding later this year which will be held at The Grain Exchange in Milwaukee. I know it will be a good one.
