I’ve always believed photographs tell the truth in a way words can’t. Images hold what language often misses — the way your partner looks at you during your vows, the quiet squeeze of a hand, the laughter that erupts when no one’s posing. That’s why I do this work.
Your wedding photos become the evidence of what it felt like to be there. They preserve the fleeting expressions, the anticipation before you walk down the aisle, the energy on the dance floor. Years from now, you won’t just want to remember how everything looked. You’ll want to remember how it felt to have everyone together. I photograph your day with that in mind.
When you work with me, you get more than wedding day coverage. You get a wedding photographer who cares deeply about your experience from start to finish. I guide you through the planning process, help you navigate the unknowns, and stay present so you never feel left guessing or unsupported.
If this feels aligned with your vision, let’s connect and talk through the details.

Being a careful observer, deep feeler, and undeniably sentimental, I prioritize honest photos through a blend of candid, documentary-style wedding coverage and timeless editorial portraits.

Kate Senger is a Wisconsin wedding photographer with over 10 years of experience documenting weddings. Her thoughtful, documentary approach and mastery of light allow her photographs to feel like pages pulled from a memory. Rather than over-directing the day, Kate observes with care, stepping in only when needed and giving couples the space to be fully present. The result is imagery that feels honest, and deeply human.
Missing these warmer October days.
Sharing some snippets from Andrea & Evan’s wedding at Aldo Leopold Nature Center.
Political campaign partners turned life partners.
From campaigning for Elizabeth Warren to promising forever, A&R’s downtown Madison wedding unfolded alongside the No Kings march, where the streets were buzzing with energy and love.
A favorite moment of mine was when A&R decided to share private vows before the ceremony. I was hard pressed to find a dry eye in the room.
The night ended with Ian’s pizza, dancing, and a pinky promise.
