Finally sharing Joey and Antonia’s Downtown Madison, Wisconsin wedding at the Concourse Hotel from last December here on the blog.
The day began with everyone getting ready at The Concourse Hotel in downtown Madison, setting a calm and joyful tone for the celebration. Joey and Antonia chose to do their first look on the steps of the Wisconsin State Capitol, which felt especially magical in December. Downtown Madison is already a beautiful backdrop for a wedding, and the seasonal garland and wreaths hanging from the Capitol added a festive touch to their winter wedding day.
After the first look, we headed to St. James Good Shepherd Catholic Parish where Joey and Antonia made things official. The ceremony was filled with meaningful, personal moments—from the Milwaukee Gospel Choir to the ceremony led by Joey’s uncle, Father Mike Bertram. Antonia had shared that this was her one must-have for the day, and her smile throughout the ceremony said it all.
Joey and Antonia did an incredible job weaving pieces of Milwaukee into their downtown Madison wedding, creating a day that felt both personal and intentional. Everything came together beautifully.
Following the ceremony, the wedding party—along with myself and Andy (on video)—hopped on a bus and headed to a few outdoor locations around downtown Madison for photos. We then looped back to The Concourse Hotel in Madison, Wisconsin to kick off the evening celebration.
Enjoy the images below, and be sure to take a look at Andy O’Connell’s wedding film, which perfectly captures the feeling of the day.
